Brand Narrative

From the young age of 25, Scott knew he wanted to have his own accounting firm just like his grandfather, a successful CPA, and his mother, a successful business owner. This vision was hard-wired into his DNA, so he decided to go ahead and pursue his dream.

His first step toward his goal was graduating from California State University in Chico with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting. Since he was young, Scott started honing his skills by working with seasoned CPAs. With time, Scott's interest in offering a wider variety of accounting products to attract a more diverse client base and his love for innovation and technology often found resistance among old-school CPAs.

He didn't want to settle in this old, outdated way of doing things. So he moved to Oregon, where he landed a job as a partner in a small and growing accounting firm. In the low-key atmosphere of Klamath Falls, Scott found an excellent opportunity to be a big fish in a small pond, learning about the responsibilities that come with running a business while still performing the required functions of an accountant. This proved to be an excellent learning and personal growth experience.

After several years in Oregon, Scott felt the need to be near his hometown in Southern California, where he acquired an existing CPA firm.

Having his own firm gave him the power to make the complex and often scary decisions of building a business of his own, taking it in directions that other firms felt uncomfortable going. Along with the usual services of tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll, Scott grew the firm by adding small business consulting, heavy tax planning, choice of business entity, start-ups, and special services in the areas of Divorce, IRS Problems, LGBTQ tax assistance and Profit Advisory Services.

He imprinted his very own intense, ethical, and passionate style onto his firm, and that's how he finally managed to materialize his lifelong dream. In this pursuit, Scott not only positively impacted his community but also helped people and businesses reach their full potential and become successful.
